A|State - The Great Crap Works (GCW)

 The Great Crap Works

Industrial Complex

Location

Produce

Various size strips of condensed refuge called Burners are sold as solid fuel.  The methane is processed into gas fuel and liquid fuels.

Site

The Great Crap Works is situated edgeward of Surging Run Canal and windward of the Edgeway Canal. Visually is consists of ten huge silos witch store and process the gas to fuel at various parts of the process. Underground are huge pools of mushed refuge which produce the raw gas.  As the refuse is reduced and crushed it is turned into Burners which move over great conveyers to Canary Row where it is packaged and shipped by road or canal.  Next to the main works bottling factories take the gas product while tankers are filled with the liquid. Both are then shipped by canal or road.

Next to the site is a huge worked out open mine quarry where organic refuse is shipped in, shredded and condensed into mudpacks that are conveyered into the mush pools. Also in the quarry small silos take refuge straight from the sewer and from incoming barges of sewage from neighbouring burghs which are treated in a similar fashion. Although the entire area is dampened by sprinklers the place has earned the name Stink Heap.

Organisations

The works is owned by F&CC (Food and Chemical Concern) a city  wide trust (see Trusts for more details). The immidiate subsidiary that runs the site is Refuse And Waste Fuels (RAW Fuels).

Two unions fight over this industry W.A.S.T.E. Workers Association of Treatment Engineers and T.U.R.D. the Trade Union of Rectal Discharge.
